Jay and Tiffany McDaniel

Some couples decide that when it comes to their wedding day they are going to go all out. Jay and Tiffany McDaniel are one of those couples! For Jay and Tiffany’s special day we combined services from DJ Professionals & Video, The Audio Visual People and Brickstreet Cinema to deliver for them a wedding day they will never forget.

Brickstreet Cinema videographers were on hand to film the bride and groom’s entire day while Ray Baca with Baca Photography was there to capture each precious moment in still form. Ray’s work is always impressive and as you can see by the attached photos this day was no exception.

The ceremony took place at Airlie Gardens with the reception immediately following at the always beautiful Upper Room here in downtown Wilmington. The venue was decked out in black and white with over 20 lights from The Audio Visual People set up around the room supplying color and water effects. Between the amazing lights and beautiful flowers and centerpieces provided by Moxie Floral Design Studio, the Upper Room was absolutely stunning.

Food and a well stocked bar were provided by Middle of the Island Catering and as always, it was delicious. In combination with supplying DJ services for the evening, DJ Professionals & Video also provided a photo booth for the couple and their guests to enjoy. The photo booth was a hit with the guests and provided what I can only imagine to be some pretty interesting shots throughout the evening.

Jay and Tiffany along with their guests packed the dance floor throughout the night. Needless to say this pleased us greatly. On behalf of everyone here at DJ Professionals & Video, The Audio Visual People and Brickstreet Cinema, I want to thank Jay and Tiffany for allowing us to play such a big part in your special day. We wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness.

Matt and Katie Saas

It was a great pleasure for us here at DJ Professionals & Video to be asked to take part in the nuptial celebration of Katie Nolan and Matt Saas. They had a touching ceremony at Kenan Chapel in Landfall that included a candle lighting ceremony incorporating the Mom’s of the happy couple lighting individual candles followed by the newlyweds joining the flames.

Matt was beaming as he stared into the eyes of his new bride and it was clear, as he had reference in his vows, that they truly were “best friends”.

Matt and Katie had “warned” me before hand that both sides of the family were there to celebrate and have a good time and that they did! Fortunately RGCVideo and Charo Photo were on hand at Lumina Hall Event Center to capture all of the action. Charo and I have worked together before and she was amazing as always.

Middle of the Island Catering was providing food which always brings a smile to my face. This was my third wedding in a row with them and that may explain the few extra pounds I have been carrying around recently. Their food is always excellent and the staff is top notch.

With dinner out of the way the party cranked up a few notches. Both sides of the family loved to dance however it was 11 year old usher and cousin Caleb Wiler who took over the dance floor. Caleb was a hit and one of the best young dancers I have seen in a while.

It was a wonderful day with two beautiful families and we here at DJ Professionals & Video cannot thank Matt, Katie and of course Aunt Theresa enough for allowing us to be a part of it. We wish the happy couple a lifetime of love and joy!

Joy and Michael Miller

What a pleasure it was to DJ the wedding of Joy and Michael Miller. The ceremony was held at Port City Community Church and was followed by a reception at the Bradley Creek Marina. The setting was beautiful. There were tables set up outdoors overlooking the marina and Middle of the Island Catering provided a buffet style dinner and as always the food was to die for. The cake was provided by Apple Annie’s Bake Shop and was gorgeous. After dinner many of the guests made their way to the photo booth provided by DJ Professionals and Video while the groomsmen all changed into tuxedo t-shirts and had a little surprise dance for the couple set to LMFAO’s “I’m Sexy and I Know It”. They certainly got the crowd laughing and further set the tone for a fun filled evening. Chris Lang Photography was there to capture every moment and I am certain got not only some beautiful shots of the venue and décor but also the Soul Train style dance that quickly formed on the dance floor. Sarah Coe and Olivia Prevatt were the wedding coordinators and kept everything flowing with ease. By the end of the night the couple wasn’t ready for the fun to end so we kept it going for an extra half hour at their request. After saying their goodbyes and thanking their guests the happy couple was sent off under a tunnel of sparklers leading to their limo provided by A&K Limousine Service. On behalf of everyone at DJ Professionals and Video I want to thank Mike and Joy for allowing us to be a part of your amazing day.

Sarah & David Hoxie

It was evident to everyone at The River Room that saw David Hoxie and Sarah Peterson‘s first dance that they were “Lucky” to have found each other.

The couple’s grand day began with their wedding at Grace United Methodist Church. After a wonderful ceremony the guests made their way to the reception at The River Room. Melissa was the venue manager for the evening and did an amazing job ensuring that every detail had been arranged. She greeted each guest at the door and the couple could not have asked for a better location to celebrate with their friends and family.

Dinner was provided by Lane and her team (Kelly and Amy) from Middle of the Island Catering and it was delicious as always. Dale ran the bar and ensured that everyone was well cared for with drinks.

It is always a pleasure to work with a true professional photographer like Ray Baca, who was assisted by Hillary and that day was no exception. Ray and Hillary captured each moment and their job was made much easier by the beautiful surroundings.  The wedding cake was showcased beautifully by the river walk window. We enjoyed the Henrietta III Riverboat tooting its horn and passing by The River Room as dusk approached.

The dance floor stayed full, and everyone appeared to have an amazing time before the bride and groom left the reception under a shower of bubbles from their 100+ guests. We wish Mr. and Mrs. David Hoxie nothing but happiness and thank them for allowing DJ Professional & Video to help begin their new lives together in such spectacular fashion.
