Jay and Tiffany McDaniel

Some couples decide that when it comes to their wedding day they are going to go all out. Jay and Tiffany McDaniel are one of those couples! For Jay and Tiffany’s special day we combined services from DJ Professionals & Video, The Audio Visual People and Brickstreet Cinema to deliver for them a wedding day they will never forget.

Brickstreet Cinema videographers were on hand to film the bride and groom’s entire day while Ray Baca with Baca Photography was there to capture each precious moment in still form. Ray’s work is always impressive and as you can see by the attached photos this day was no exception.

The ceremony took place at Airlie Gardens with the reception immediately following at the always beautiful Upper Room here in downtown Wilmington. The venue was decked out in black and white with over 20 lights from The Audio Visual People set up around the room supplying color and water effects. Between the amazing lights and beautiful flowers and centerpieces provided by Moxie Floral Design Studio, the Upper Room was absolutely stunning.

Food and a well stocked bar were provided by Middle of the Island Catering and as always, it was delicious. In combination with supplying DJ services for the evening, DJ Professionals & Video also provided a photo booth for the couple and their guests to enjoy. The photo booth was a hit with the guests and provided what I can only imagine to be some pretty interesting shots throughout the evening.

Jay and Tiffany along with their guests packed the dance floor throughout the night. Needless to say this pleased us greatly. On behalf of everyone here at DJ Professionals & Video, The Audio Visual People and Brickstreet Cinema, I want to thank Jay and Tiffany for allowing us to play such a big part in your special day. We wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness.

Brian and Sarah Blake

DJ Professionals & Video had the pleasure of providing DJ services for newlyweds Brian and Sarah Blake at The Balcony on Dock Street.  Jenn Rayle and the team at The Balcony on Dock Street did an amazing job setting up the room with black tablecloths and pink napkins for the couple’s 150 plus guests.  The girls at Moxie Floral Design Studio out did themselves yet again with amazing arrangements all around the room while Jacki and Angie of Baca Photography captured all of the great memories throughout the evening. With an A-Team like this it should come to no surprise that The Three Divas provided a cake so stunning to look at you almost didn’t want to cut into it…almost. Every couple is unique and this couple was no different. The newlyweds were introduced to their guests to Michael Jacksons “The Way You Make Me Feel” followed by their first dance set to Stevie Wonders “My Cherie Amor”. It was truly a great evening and on behalf of everyone here at DJ Professionals & Video I thank Brian and Sarah for allowing us to be a part of their special day and wish them a lifetime of laughter and love.

Sarah & David Hoxie

It was evident to everyone at The River Room that saw David Hoxie and Sarah Peterson‘s first dance that they were “Lucky” to have found each other.

The couple’s grand day began with their wedding at Grace United Methodist Church. After a wonderful ceremony the guests made their way to the reception at The River Room. Melissa was the venue manager for the evening and did an amazing job ensuring that every detail had been arranged. She greeted each guest at the door and the couple could not have asked for a better location to celebrate with their friends and family.

Dinner was provided by Lane and her team (Kelly and Amy) from Middle of the Island Catering and it was delicious as always. Dale ran the bar and ensured that everyone was well cared for with drinks.

It is always a pleasure to work with a true professional photographer like Ray Baca, who was assisted by Hillary and that day was no exception. Ray and Hillary captured each moment and their job was made much easier by the beautiful surroundings.  The wedding cake was showcased beautifully by the river walk window. We enjoyed the Henrietta III Riverboat tooting its horn and passing by The River Room as dusk approached.

The dance floor stayed full, and everyone appeared to have an amazing time before the bride and groom left the reception under a shower of bubbles from their 100+ guests. We wish Mr. and Mrs. David Hoxie nothing but happiness and thank them for allowing DJ Professional & Video to help begin their new lives together in such spectacular fashion.

Mr. & Mrs. McCole

This was the first wedding I’ve had the pleasure of filming in The River Room! Instead of the normal hustle and bustle one goes through scurrying to location after location, everything was much more relaxed as we were operating out of our home base!

David and Marinella got ready at The Hilton, then walked down the boardwalk together on their way to The River Room. Their ceremony was held on our back deck. The laid back mood was aided by the calming breeze and tranquil waters of the Cape Fear.

After the ceremony, the party was moved in doors. I was a little nervous that with all the cameras we had rolling (shooters included myself, Derek Pons, and Sean Balogh, as well as Jessie Baker and Austin Stinson from Baca Photography). However, after the lemon cello got flowing, no one seemed to care about any of the cameras, instead focusing on having a great time!

David and Marienella’s wedding was a multi-cultural affair, as American, Peruvian, and Italian families helped celebrate the newly weds!

On behalf of everyone at DJ Professionals and Video, Baca Photography, and The River Room – thank you for letting us take part in your special day!

Mr. & Mrs. Leggett

We took a little trek to Elizabethtown, North Carolina to shoot this December wedding. The ceremony was held a week before Christmas, putting everyone involved in a warm and cheery mood! Brad and Jennifer said ‘I do’, then danced the night away with their family and friends! Santa even made an appearance!

Our good friend Ray Baca of Baca Photography was on hand to capture all Brad and Jennifer’s special moments with his signature blend of photography!

Mr. & Mrs. Roth

A beautiful November day. A loving family. A gorgeous venue. All of these things add up to a memorable day in downtown Wilmington as Michael and Jennifer let us take part in their wedding!

The ceremony took place at St. Mary’s Cathedral. It was my first time in this historic venue and I was completely overwhelmed by the beauty of the building! High arching ceilings, gorgeous stained glass, and the un-mistakable Father Bob provided a perfect setting for our couple to tie the knot.

After the ceremony, we got to have some fun on the riverfront. We teamed up with Ray Baca from Baca Photography and got some awesome shots while the couple spent a little down time from the wedding spectacle.

Eventually we made it to Candles for the reception, wrapping up the night with lots of toasts, dancing and well-wishes for the happy new couple!
