Sarah & David Hoxie

It was evident to everyone at The River Room that saw David Hoxie and Sarah Peterson‘s first dance that they were “Lucky” to have found each other.

The couple’s grand day began with their wedding at Grace United Methodist Church. After a wonderful ceremony the guests made their way to the reception at The River Room. Melissa was the venue manager for the evening and did an amazing job ensuring that every detail had been arranged. She greeted each guest at the door and the couple could not have asked for a better location to celebrate with their friends and family.

Dinner was provided by Lane and her team (Kelly and Amy) from Middle of the Island Catering and it was delicious as always. Dale ran the bar and ensured that everyone was well cared for with drinks.

It is always a pleasure to work with a true professional photographer like Ray Baca, who was assisted by Hillary and that day was no exception. Ray and Hillary captured each moment and their job was made much easier by the beautiful surroundings.  The wedding cake was showcased beautifully by the river walk window. We enjoyed the Henrietta III Riverboat tooting its horn and passing by The River Room as dusk approached.

The dance floor stayed full, and everyone appeared to have an amazing time before the bride and groom left the reception under a shower of bubbles from their 100+ guests. We wish Mr. and Mrs. David Hoxie nothing but happiness and thank them for allowing DJ Professional & Video to help begin their new lives together in such spectacular fashion.

Gail & Brandon Graham

It was an honor and privilege to help make Gail and Brandon’s wedding reception a night full of fun, romance, love, and dancing! The Balcony on Dock Street was the venue they chose and Verzaal’s Florist helped bring the room to life with an amazing combination of candles, table settings, and floral arrangements accented with the colors of spring. The newlyweds began the night with their first dance to the tune of “Not Fire, Not Ice” by Ben Harper. The guests appeared joyous and excited as they watched the happy couple share the dance floor for the first time as Mr. and Mrs. Graham. Dinner soon followed with a wonderful meal provided by The Balcony on Dock Street. Shortly thereafter, it was time to cut the wedding cake and fill the dance floor. We wish Mr. and Mrs. Graham a wonderful new life together and nothing but the best in all of their future endeavors. Thank you for choosing DJ Professionals and Video to help make your special day everything you had dreamed it would be!

Thiago & Kerry Lima

Weddings like the one for Thiago and Kerry Lima make it hard to call this job work. Haleigh Beyer and the staff at the Hilton Wilmington Riverside did a beautiful job setting up the Cape Fear Ballroom to match the bridal party’s Carolina Blue colors. There were plenty of amazing moments for Erin Costa of Prevoir Photography to capture including the groom taking a moment after toasts to reunite with his old band for a wonderful Brazilian music jam session for his beautiful bride and guests. We at DJ Professionals & Video thank the newlyweds for allowing us to be such an integral part of their special day and wish them a lifetime of love and laughter.

Patrick & Jennifer Terry

Patrick and Jennifer Terry said their “I Do’s” at the beautiful Figure 8 Island Yacht Club and began their journey as husband and wife. During the ceremony, Jennifer Mitchell was making the room sparkle! Indigosilvers’ Jeff Poole and Lori Unruh were there to capture memories and beautiful pictures the couple will cherish forever! When they entered the room, the bride and the groom were smiling ear to ear and walked arm in arm. After the introductions, Jennifer and Patrick danced for the first time as husband and wife to “She’s Everything” by Brad Paisley. Once the traditional dances were complete there was a welcome, a blessing and the food was served. It was prepared on site by the staff at the yacht club, smelled AMAZING and tasted even better!

After dinner, the Best Man and the Maid of Honor made their toasts and provided words of wisdom for our newlyweds. The Bride and Groom then made their way over to the cake table which held a gorgeous 3-tier cake. With the cake cut and everyone fed it was time for DJ Professionals & Video to pick up the pace and get the guests moving. It was a wonderful reception and a memorable event. Congrats again to Patrick and Jennifer and thank you for allowing us to be a part of your amazing day!!!

Steven + Gail Coston party/reception at Embassy Suites in Cary

What a great time we had at the Embassy Suites in Cary on June 2nd 2012. Steven and Gail hosted a party and reception several weeks after their ceremony in Rodanthe on the Outer Banks. Dj Professionals was the referred Dj company, and we had a wonderful night. The couple continued their beach theme wedding with flowered shirts, dresses and attire. The hotel chief was in charge of some great o’dourves including great meatballs being passed. DJ- Patrick Pake started the night according to their plans with a beachy theme and classic rock and pop from the 70′s. Later in the night after a “good luck dance” with everybody on the floor, the dancing began with mostly rock and funk hits.

Everyone enjoyed the night and still 1/3 of the guests were still there when the lights came up! Thanks again for entrusting DJ Professionals and Video and the best of luck to Steven and Gail in their new lives together.

“DJ Mighty Quinn’ was challenged with providing two separate systems of sound and music at the Drew wedding at The Islander Hotel and Suites on Emerald Isle NC

Jessica and Nick Drew tie the knot

“DJ Mighty Quinn”  was challenged with providing two separate systems of sound and music at the Drew wedding at The Islander Hotel and Suites on Emerald Isle NC..
The ceremony was set up with a battery powered speaker and digital music source and a microphone for the pastor and bride and groom. this was set up right on the beach with steel drum music playing for seating…. This actually entertained all the beach-goers around for almost 30 minutes. The bride , Jessica, had requested “Jessica” ( her grandmothers name as well) by the Allman Brothers to be played for the entire 7.5 minutes as the whole wedding party made it’s way, barefoot, to the tiki hut setting…. Then the beautiful bride was escorted by her father to the beach as “A Moment Like This” by Kelly Clarkson was played….

For “DJ MIGHTY QUINN” it was…. A great family event and

Blending of the colored sand in to a photo frame signifies a joining of families...

They made a very symbolic gesture, as bride and groom, filling a photo frame with multi colored sand signifying the union of families…

After the ceremony the bridal party stayed on the beach for photos and everyone else went to the cocktail party in the tent on the grounds of the hotel. This was an entirely different set up in a tent with LED lights for dancing and lighting the tent top for mood.
Great mix of country and rock and oldies for the crowd for dinner and cocktail hour…

Jessica and Nick Drew tie the knotThen came the first dance…. For Jessica Hayden Drew and Nicholas Drew it was Tim McGraw singing My Best Friend.

Next was a great dinner catered by Walter Hancock.
The event was flawlessly planned and ran by event coordinators Katy and Kelly and Chelsea Donovan.
Then came the fun parts. The father / daughter dance … the groom / mother dance and the ceremonial chicken dance… Music was mixed till 1030 and everyone had a great time ending it in a 65 person, attached at the hips, through the entire hotel grounds, “Party Train” by the Gap Band. then back to the dance floor for a sing along of I got friends in low places.

Malanga/Rockett Wedding

Doug and Samanta are officially The Rocketts now. They had a beautiful wedding and reception at The Watson House in Emerald Isle. Phyliss and the rest of the crew from Class Act Catering did a fantastic job. They had what was possibly the best prime rib I’ve ever eaten. I provided the music/entertainment and although our company has done many events at The Watson House it was my first time there. The owners and staff are awesome. I would reccomend the venue to anyone. The crowd was a lot of fun and The Malanga clan’s rendition of George Washington Bridge was hilarious.A good time was had by all and I was happy to be part of it.

Travis and Merrill Bright April 27th 2012 at The Country Club of the Crystal Coast

WOW!  A perfect wedding! Just one of those days where everything was and went perfect. The day started with a outside ceremony on the lawn overlooking the sound. It was a slightly complex ceremony including 14 songs, 2 readers, a singer with guitar pickup and a microphone for the vows however all went perfectly. DJ and owner Patrick Pake was the requested DJ and put it all together right on time. The ceremony system was used outside again on the veranda for the cocktail hour while the bride and groom did photos. Inside things were packed and the whole bridal party was introduced and the bride and groom had their first dance together as husband and wife! Following the welcome by father of the bride -Bill Brinson and blessing, there was a terrific dinner by The Country Club of the Crystal Coast. Catering manager-Barbara Costanza made sure everything was on time and seamless. After dinner there were toasts, cake cutting, photos as the sunset and then it was dance time. Early in the night the bride and grooms favorites were beach and country. As the night progressed, things turned to old school hits and new pop dance. Thanks to the AZD sorority and their sing and drink along to their song-”Roxanne” complete with red LED lights to match the song. The floor was packed and the Merrill and Travis had a perfect wedding! Thanks for letting me be your DJ!
